Memory, that indelible mark
The area that the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana occupies today can be compared to one of those ancient manuscripts that, after falling into disuse, was scratched and overwritten, incorporating new content. Unlike these, each lived historical moment does not erase everything that came before, but a part makes it their own, incorporates it, configuring a new territory on the surviving vestiges. This supposes, in short, that the municipal space that we know today is the result of a history of superimposed traces and forgetfulness.
